Where music
takes root.

We bring together education, support for young artists and world-class music performance. Join us at our first festival, in Abbotsbury, Dorset, from 3 to 5 July.

Our Purpose

Tree of Strings is a new charitable project grounded in the landscapes and communities of the South West. We produce a programme of world-class music performances and educational events across the year, starting in 2026.

Our work connects emerging and established musicians through concerts and school projects, beginning with our three-day festival in Abbotsbury this July.

At a time when provision for music is shrinking, we exist to give children more access, nurture young talent and inspire new audiences.

Our Artistic Director

Tree of Strings is led by renowned cellist, curator and educator Adrian Brendel, whose career has taken him to major festivals and concert halls around the world.

As artistic director of the celebrated Plush Festival, Adrian spent over two decades bringing world-class music to rural Dorset and inspiring new generations of musicians.

Tree of Strings builds on that legacy. Our commitment to musical excellence and education shapes everything we do.
