Colin Thompson

About

Colin Thompson is a violinist who has performed on the folk scene for 45 years. He has a particular interest in the fiddle music of Dorset. He and fellow performer Tim Laycock discovered and published the Benjamin Rose Manuscript, which is one of the two key surviving sources of Dorset tunes, along with the Thomas Hardy family music books.

In his other musical life, Colin is a classical guitarist and performs in a duo with violinist Emma-Marie Kabanova.
