Volunteer with
Tree of Strings

Help make Abbotsbury 2026 happen! We are on the lookout for adult volunteers who can join us to create an excellent experience for our first festival.

Why volunteer?

Volunteers are at the heart of every event at Tree of Strings: welcoming audiences and artists and helping with event production.

Volunteering is flexible, rewarding and a fantastic way to meet new people, while supporting local music.

Be part of something new

Help to shape a fresh, adventurous music festival from the very start.

Support young talent

Give emerging soloists and ensembles the stage they deserve, while experiencing the performance for free.

Build connections

Meet artists, audiences and neighbours who care about live music as much as you do.

FAQ

Most roles will be in shifts of around four hours, but there is a chance to take on longer shifts, working across multiple roles. Tell us what your schedule is like and we’ll match you with something that works.

Not at all. Some volunteers love music and play themselves, others enjoy being part of a welcoming team. The main things we look for are reliability, kindness and enthusiasm.

The roles are onsite in Abbotsbury, in the different concert venues and parking areas.

At the start of each shift there will be time for a short briefing, to go over your role and familiarise you with the site and any important safety information.

Yes. We want volunteering to be as inclusive as possible. If you share any access needs or questions on the form, we’ll do our best to find a role and setting that feels comfortable for you.

If you are asked to work more than a four-hour shift, and over the lunch/dinner period, a packed lunch/dinner will be provided. Details vary by task and time, so we’ll explain what’s available when we get in touch about specific opportunities.
